Yes, that is literally what we've been up to here--watching grass grow. You see, Barry and I thought we'd try spicing up the lives of our two cats by buying a bird feeder. Eh, it was one of those impulse purchases you make at the £ shop (or dollar store for my American reader there :). So, we bought a bird feeder and some seed and thought we were so smart because we were going to be providing Charlie and Fox with front row seats to a bird show right outside the bedroom window.
Boy, were we wrong. Not a single bird came...not even a freakin' crow or pigeon and those things are EVERYWHERE! Instead, this is what we got (see pic below)...our own personal grass garden right outside our bedroom window. Lovely, isn't it? For some reason, I don't think Charlie and Fox got much enjoyment from our pound shop purchase. There's £2 we'll never see again.

Foyle Hospice Zumbathon
The third Zumbathon since I've been in Derry was just held this past Saturday where all the proceeds benefited Foyle Hospice. Here are some photos...you can kind of see a little baby bump there, but it's a little hard to tell I'm over five months preggo lol.

Enniskillen
For our anniversary, Barry and I took a wee road trip down to Enniskillen. Here are some photos:
We made a quick stop at Castle Coole. This is Barry's artsy fartsy photography where he merged three photos together to make one. He's very proud. Good job, Barry! |
Hard to see, but that is me. Castle Coole. |

Barry was amazed at this mushroom because it was so black. |

Me. |
Me in the super spooky basement servant's area. We were the only ones there...except for the ghosts. |

A year already...
It's hard to believe that it has been a year since Barry and I got married! Our anniversary is this Sunday, September 18th. It's been an extremely eventful year...the wedding, the book, quitting my job, the move, starting Zumba classes in Derry, the baby...and with a baby on the way, I have a feeling the next year will be just as eventful.
